Dr. Michael daSilva

Dr. Mike daSilva grew up in Bismarck, North Dakota. He attended the University of Nebraska – Lincoln on full scholarship, earning a degree in Biochemistry. He completed his medical degree on full scholarship at the University of Nebraska Medical center, where he graduated with high distinction and was admitted to the Alpha Omega Alpha national medical honor society. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the prestigious University of California – Los Angeles, where he was voted the top surgical resident in his senior class.  After residency, he worked in private practice in Rapid City, South Dakota for a few years; there he focused on cataract and LASIK surgery. He is excited to be back in Omaha.

Dr. daSilva is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons.

Outside work, he enjoys spending time with his wife Laura and their children Elizabeth and Nicholas, as well as racing bicycles, fly fishing, and bowhunting.
